Came across this because I was thinking of purchasing a business myself. Given then many smaller publishers have already been swallowed up, it seems plausible. Although, I have to agree with the writer that is unlikely due to licensing, something else I will be dealing with soon. It is very hard to compete with Japanese companies that run multi industry conglomerate : Zaibatsu. Tekken comes to mind haha. Microsoft might be big but entire towns don’t rely on them for survival. It is easier for Japanese and Koreans to an extent to groom loyal employees when the company pervades their every life.
